General Terms and Conditions of Booking
Please review the following conditions of the unit you will be renting. By accepting your confirmation and checking into the unit it is understood by all parties that you have reviewed and accepted the terms herein.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE: You may check into the unit between the hours of 4 PM and
7 PM on your date of arrival. Checkout is NO LATER than 11 AM. Early and late check-ins and late checkouts are admissible only by previous agreement.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The nightly rate for the property is for the maximum occupancy stated in the description of each unit.
The house is for the exclusive use of the registered guests and is not to be used to host parties or events that include additional unpaid guests.
If it becomes known to us after your check-in that you have additional unclaimed guests staying in the home exceeding the maximum occupancy of the rented unit, we will assess a penalty of 50€ per guest, per stay, in addition to the normal nightly rate for these guests
OR we may ask you to leave without any refund of money paid.
DATE CHANGES: Guests may request to change the dates of their reservation free of charge, provided the dates they request are available.. Reservations made at special or last-minute rates may be subject to a surcharge should the special conditions under which their original reservation was made no longer apply.
CLEANING FEES: Cleaning fees are included in your rate and cover the costs of preparing the home for your stay. This includes the provision of fresh towels, linens, a starter set of paper products (i.e. toilet paper), coffee, tea, sugar, and toiletries (where applicable). Guests should feel free to enjoy the house and to leave soiled linens and towels for the housekeepers to launder. However, we ask that guests please dispose of their rubbish in the provided bins and wash any dishes they may have used with the dishwasher (where available) upon checkout. Leaving the unit in an excessive state of dirtiness and disarray may result in a cleaning surcharge.
PROOF OF IDENTITY: Guests will be asked to provide PROOF OF IDENTITY and nationality upon check-in. Acceptable forms of identification are: a passport, driving licence or ID card.
VACATION RENTAL DAMAGES: Guest authorises management to process charges from the card details they are required to furnish on arrival for the costs of repair or replacement of damaged or missing items beyond normal use, excessive clean up, stains, odour removal, late check out, unclaimed extra guests or unscheduled cleaning crew costs. Any damages to rental property should be communicated by the guest to management on check-out.
NO DAILY HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE: Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate.
NO MEAL SERVICE: All units are equipped with kitchen facilities and are self-catered. The exceptions are the villas which have the option to be booked with breakfast at 'The Broken Chair Café'.
PARKING: Free parking is available. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Vehicles are parked at owners risk and the management takes no responsibility for any damage or theft from vehicles parked on the premises.
WATER AND SEPTIC: Tap water is safe for consumption and all other purposes. We kindly ask that guests DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. Feminine hygiene products or wet wipes should not be flushed at any time.
SMOKING: All properties are NON SMOKING units and guests are not permitted to smoke anywhere inside the home at any time. Smoking is allowed outside but we request that you use provided ashtrays or otherwise properly dispose of cigarette butts.
PETS: Pets -except for service dogs- are not permitted in rental units under any circumstances.
LOST AND FOUND – We will make every effort to locate any possessions left behind. Please email us if you have lost any items. If found, we will email you requesting the shipping address, and will ship the items back to you for the cost of the packaging and shipping, which will be charged to your credit card on file. Any items found in homes will be kept for 30 days. Unclaimed items will be donated to charity.
RIGHT TO REFUSAL OF SERVICE – Both management and the homeowners reserve the right to refuse service or to ask the guests to leave if guests have not claimed the proper number of guests staying, or if either party has adequate reason to believe that the property or content thereof will be put at unnecessary risk during a guest's stay for reasons such as, but not limited to, the use of illicit substances on the premises, unauthorized gatherings, excessively loud and disrespectful behaviour, or reservation obtained under false pretence. No refund of monies paid will be given in those cases.
WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS – Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.
This unit is privately owned. The owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities, nor are they responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests expressly assume the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises.
